I'M NOT ONE the big kids used to push me in the schoolyard they'd steal my lunch before i took a bite at seven my long hair attracted bullies so daddy said he'd teach me how to fight cause inside every boy is the beginnings of a man learning when to walk away and when to take a stand i'm not one, to cut and run when things are gettin' tough people say, the judgement day will be here soon enough mostly we can pick and choose when we need to fight there are some you're gonna lose even when you're right some folks look for trouble like it's fun i'm not one. we'll be married seven years, october there are times when we both cross that line i've punched a couple walls, she broke some dishes leavin' her has even crossed my mind 'cause inside every grown-up man there's still a little child ya gotta put him in his place, once in every while i'm not one.... some folks reach a time when they'll regret the things they've done but i'm not one. ©Bill Osofsky, BMI, floyd jane ASCAP |
